2015 - a Year in Review

And just like that, in the blink of an eye, 2015 is ‘a year in review’. Another great year has come and gone...the greatest in fact.  This time last year, I was writing a year in review blog post and thinking about the year ahead was too much to comprehend. We were anxiously waiting for our baby boy to arrive, and beyond that we didn’t know what to expect. Now here we are. Everything fits. Before I start digging too deep, or attempt (and fail) to say something clever or inspiring I'd best wrap it up and say goodbye to 2015 by reflecting on a few of my favourite things that this life changing year brought. OLIVER

The arrival of our son

was by far the highlight of our year and our lives. This tiny spirit has changed my purpose, my priorities, my universe. Oliver - you are our favourite human being. Stay weird, my love.

PLANES TRAINS and AUTOMOBILES…and FERRY BOATS

If we're talking 'best memories of 2015', any quality time as a family of three was next level.  Road trips to Seattle, a long weekend in

Qualicum Beach

, a train trip through the Rocky Mountains, and two weeks spent in

Disneyworld

are at the very top of my list.

NEW WEBSITE, NEW OUTLOOK

I put lots of time, love and energy into revamping my website and the high of putting it out into the world still hasn't worn off.  I explained a little bit about ‘why now?’ in a

previous blog post

and as the year has gone on, my feelings on having found balance as a self-employed mum and being a fulfilled person both at home and 'at work' have only multiplied. Some of my very favourite photographs of all time were taken in 2015.

It's exciting to think about a new year! In 2016 we will be celebrating Oliver's 1st birthday, my 30th and Colin's 40th(!!!) travelling to new places, and discovering what life with a toddler looks like... who knows what other adventures lie ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along on this journey with me. Whether in person, or through the magical invisible line that is social media, I feel the love and support and am so looking forward to another year of telling your stories and sharing my own.

Here is a look back. One frame from each session.
